Open the installer and follow the steps below. The launcher checks Steam and Assetto Corsa, installs the tools Initial G needs, and downloads the cars and tracks your account can use.
The green Windows warning
The first time you open the installer, Windows can show a green warning. The launcher is new and not many people have installed it yet.
Click More info, then Run anyway.
Before you start
You need Steam, and Assetto Corsa in your Steam library. The launcher does not include the game.
What the launcher asks you to do
The launcher skips any step that is already done on your PC.
- Steam. If Steam is missing, install it, then click Check again.
- Assetto Corsa. If the game is not in your Steam library, install it, then click Check again.
- Terms of Service. Scroll to the end of the agreement. Tick I have read and agree to the terms. Click Accept & Continue.
- Libraries. These are the DirectX and Visual C++ libraries that come with Assetto Corsa. Click Install. Windows may ask you to restart the PC.
- Content Manager. This launches the game. Click Install.
- Custom Shaders Patch 0.2.11. The launcher downloads it into your Assetto Corsa folder.
- Account. Log in, or create an account on initialg.gg. The launcher uses that account for car downloads.
- Steam ID. Link the Steam account you play with. Click Verify Steam and finish that step in the browser.
- Cars and tracks. Live servers downloads the cars and tracks on the servers that are live now. Full library downloads everything your account can access. If you already have the files, either choice is fine.
When the downloads finish, click Continue. Setup is finished.
If the launcher says you are getting the visual versions for your tier, you cannot race those cars until a higher tier includes the full car.
