WHAT ARE CURRENT F1 CARS MISSING

There are many elements of a modern Formula 1 car that make true fans reminisce about the good old days. We are talking about the Golden Era that is slowly but surely being ruined by the regulators of the sport. Every new generation of cars gets us further away from the essence of motorsport. Not on our watch! Here are the biggest problems with the modern cars:

01. ENGINE

The current cars run 1.6-litre Turbo engines that sound like highly sophisticated vacuum cleaners. We need more emotion, we need the sound of the thunder releasing thousands of angry wasps. We need RPM.

02. HYBRID SYSTEMS

We need an analog feeling - push the throttle go fast type of thing. We are cavemen. We want go wroom and burn dead dinosaurs while doing it. We don't want a novel to read in order to understand energy deployment to keep our batteries charged!

03. WEIGHT

Current cars are very heavy, as a matter of fact, almost 30% heavier than in the Golden Era . Partly because of of safety systems like HALO, which is the big metal thing that makes the car UGLY, partly because of the Hybrid systems and batteries. What a waste of performance!

04. LOOKS

For all intents and purposes, a race-car should have their sex-appeal. As the legendary designer Adrian Newey famously said, if it looks fast, it very likely is fast. Well we don't like the HALO around the cockpit, regulated engine covers and other stuff that deserves some love.
